They have all of YouTube to look to, not to mention any talents in their own fandom. There are many people known and unknown who could do what he did and possibly do even better if RT would only look. At this point, it has nothing to do with the lack of Monty’s stellar choreography. While I certainly don’t dislike where the story is headed, you’d think a show that built the vast majority of its fan base off of high-octane combat, world potential, and raw passion would take extra care of all of those aspects. We’ve had three episodes of V6 as of writing this, and the largest negatives by far have been the fight scene direction, or rather, the lack there of. I understand that fighting wasn’t a focal point in this episode, but it was very noticeable. They gave Oz three good sword swings and that was it. No matter how much I liked this episode, I can’t help but notice how every single fight that was mentioned or shown was downplayed in terms of animation to the point of flat shadows on walls and bright off-screen flashes or hilariously dumbfounded extras standing around waiting to die or be saved. I don’t like theorizing what might come to pass so I’ll just get to the point. Rwby rwby6 rwby spoilers rwby volume six yang xiao long blake belladonna weiss schnee ruby rose bumblebee white rose

Or at least, the first one had the most noticeable problems. Overall, this is my favorite of the five episodes (six as of posting this) we’ve received so far, with the first being my least enjoyed. Anyone surprised by her appearence at all clearly hasn’t paid attention to the opening. My biggest complaint by far about this episode is the lack of surprise when Neo showed up. The awkward tension between Blake and Yang is decent, but the innocent relationship dynamic between Ruby and Weiss is fantastic. We got good interactions between Team RWBY. And this fight further enforces the idea that RT has a much harder time with group battles over one-v-one fights on a choreography aspect alone. But the conclusion outside of the bar really destroyed my excitement, so really it’s a 7/10 for me. I didn’t mention it because I couldn’t capture it well in still images, but some of Neo’s spinning just didn’t look right. Neo v Cinder was a high 7 or low 8 out of 10, only brought down by small things. I enjoyed this one episode than the entirety of Volume 5.
